Masters of the Universe Classics: Year by Year - 2008 to 2009

This may seem redundant, seeing as how I started this blog to showcase all my Masters of the Universe Classics pictures, but I seem to find myself slowing down in terms of full-on reviews. That's not to say that'll I'll stop, but I felt like Instagram gave me a reason to run down each figure in a few shots (or less). Since I photographed ALL of them, why don't we do some year by year short reviews for each figure?

Fortress of Mystery and Power - PART FOUR: Superfluous Supplementary

What, part four?!  Why??

To wrap up the "story", of course!  Perhaps there are a couple more things I didn't cover, as well?  I dunno man, I'm not paying attention.

Fortress of Mystery and Power - PART TWO: Outside the Castle Walls

Details, details!  In our next installment of the way-too-long review of MotUC Castle Grayskull, we take a look at the details of the outside of the castle.  Join me, won't you?

The Ancient Bowels of My Photobucket: PART TWOOOO

And we're back!  Last time we got through a swath of my photobucket, starting from the original folder ALLL the way back at the beginning.  I stopped around when I got into Joes again, so we'll start there and see what kinda junk I had been taking pictures of, beyond MotUC.

Tomfoolery After Dark: Black Light Special

Darkness is my friend.  Not like the way darkness is Batman's friend, though.  He treats darkness like a psychiatrist.  He stalks through darkness; darkness shows him who he really is, etc.  Naw, me and darkness are buds who go way back.  Ever since my Grandma bought me Scare Glow and I ran into the closet to see him glow...we've been pals.

Point is: you can see everything in the light.  In the dark...you see only what you light up.

And Your Power is....A Long Neck! (Sept. '12)

So I've got the Classics Grayskull on the picture table and I thought: Hey!  I could use this as a background and get back to reviewing the MotUC figures while I work on the Castle itself!

So why not?  Here's Mekaneck in all his mekagiraffe-like glory.

IN THE YEAR TWO-THOOOUSSAAAAND (and two)

Go ahead and think back to when you were five, or somewhere around that area.  Now, using your five-year-old brain: think about the year 2000.  Crazy, right?  Well this mother is from 2002, and it was the year that Mattel decided to smack us with Masters of the Universe again, but this time with a little help from the Four Horsemen, Sculptors of Detail and all Things Totally METAL.

Patchouliman (May '12)

Stinkor!  Enemy to Moss Man.  Moss Man smells like pine, and Stinkor smells like...well, patchouli.  Don't know what patchouli smells like?  Well scratch the above picture and sniff your screen!

The Horrible Green Giant or Evil-Lyn Needs Some Sun (Dec. '11)

I will do a full pictorial on Demo-Man because this guy is the shit, but for now I'll just keep doin' how I do and post what I did when I got 'em.

Luchador Clawful (July '11)

Another one that didn't get a 200X alternate head, and another one that kinda ticked off some people!  Once again, for me: same with Buzz-Off.  I don't mind that he doesn't have his 200X head, but I do think it would have been a good addition for folks that don't like the goofy vintage head.

May through June of 2011 and Nothin' to Show for It

Bunch of cool figures and no pics besides the package shots.  I DONE GOT LAZY.

Mer-Man vs Aquaman...?

Well, He-Man already fought Superman, and they threw Skeletor and Lex Luthor together...so why not?

And heck, these exclusive Toys R Us two packs were great ways to get interesting repaints of MotUC figures!  ...and completely normal and not repainted DC figures that you may already have.

I Keep Barely Taking Pics of Awesome Figures (Jan '11)

VIKOR IS AWESOME.  I'm serious.  Great figure.  Barely took any pics, but a great figure all the same.  It's one of those stand-out figures from the line that breaks the boundaries down.  If you like Conan, barbarian types, MotU, or just good toys, then you should own Vikor.

Muscle Bug Man with Mechanical Wings (Dec '10)

Yeah, still was making fun of Stratos at that time.  Wait...I'm still doing that now.

November 2010's Offerings

I took a few pics of each of November's things in 2010, so I'm just mixing them together.  First of all: Weapons Pak #2!

Mix and Match: After Optikk

What can you do with Optikk parts?  That was a question on my mind from the moment I saw his prototype.  The answer: MANY THINGS.

HAWK ARMOR

Evil-Lyn and Wun-Dar didn't Deserve Pics...? (Apr. '10)

Yeah, I'm not sure what happened.  I didn't take any pics of these guys when I got them, which is funny 'cause Wun-Dar is one of my top favorites!  I think I saved it all for the Weapons Pak that came around the same time.

Don't Piss off Skeletor (Feb. '10)

...or else you'll end up like Trap-Jaw.  Well, depending on your choice of story!  The original minicomic had Trap-Jaw as an inter-dimensional criminal that was brought to Eternia when Skeletor tried to open up Castle Grayskull (because the Castle was originally this mysterious dimensional nexus).  Our new mashed-together story of MotUC makes Trap-Jaw a mix of the 200X story and the old one.  They are keeping the criminal thing, but also bringing over his previous name of Kronis, from 200X.  He was Kronis before he became Trap-Jaw, and Kronis worked for Keldor (Skeletor's name before the whole face melting business).
