Rabbits, Eggs, and Things Found in Baskets

Hello to those who celebrate Easter!  Whether it be a festival of fertility, a holy resurrection, or Cadbury Mini Eggs (which I hear those outside the US get to have year-round...).  For me though, it's...well it's Cadbury Mini Eggs - but it's also toys and eggs and rabbits!  Come celebrate it mildly with some random crap my brain farted out half-way.

Marvel 3 3/4 Figures: 2011 to Nowadays Times

Now we're gona bum-rush these mostly single pics of figures.  Many of these are from various posts where I was just showing off new purchases (again), so I'll make a quick schpeal about them as I go and we'll all leave a little more informed, eh?  Well okay, so maybe you won't be so much informed as pumped full of another's opinion, but you get the idea.  Lot of pumping going on.

Marvel 3 3/4 Figures: Littla 2010 and 2011

Here we are in November of 2010 and I was pretty much just posting pics of my new purchases.  As usual, I buy on a basis of cool, somehow related to my old stories, or the rare actual knowledge of a character.

Marvel 3 3/4 Figures: 2010 Area

My pics of Marvel figures were always spotty - not sure why.  It's not that they didn't excite me as much...I guess I've always just did my own thing with them and figured a lot of it wouldn't make sense since I made up my own stories for long-time characters that I barely knew anything about.  Superhero figures were always my wildcards that were used across my old toy stories, so I see them in a different light than most.

Marvel 3 3/4 Figures: Some Old and Ugly Pics

So lets travel back to February 2009 when the wife and I (then fiance) were still living out of her mom's house (at least for another month or so) and I had a crap camera and no backgrounds or specific lighting.  I was waiting for the Marvel Universe figures to show up for the first time, and ran into Wolverine Origins figures first!

Blink of an Eye: Metomorphs?

This was January 2011 and the new toys for the time were showing up.  This toyline appeared at Meijer (grocery store like K-Mart or Wal-Mart) and went on clearance not long after.  Seemed like it might have had some sort of media behind it with a website to go to (though I barely checked it out) and a story.  They had little bugs on wheels (I think) and then these: Metomorphs.

MORTAL KOMBAAAAT (robot ninjas)

Were you folks aware of the Mortal Kombat toyline?  If not, then you don't go to Toys R Us, 'cause that's the only place you can get it.  In fact, that's the place where you can get a lot of Jazwares products!  Anyway, I only bought a few things: One Scorpion, and this pack.

RRRICK SUPERRR BRRREAKERRR!!

Lego used to do this Hero Factory thing where you could design your own guy.  There were limits on plastic colors and parts, but there were more than enough to make quite a few different and unique combinations.  I knew I had to try it out at least once.  I kinda wanted a few more, but I wasn't able to make any more before they ended the program.  This is my guy: Rick Super Breaker.

Firm Grip

Yay, Photobucket fixed the pageview thing!  Still can't upload, but I'm sure that's next.  Anyway, I'm going through the 'ol albums and finding interesting things.  I think I took this pic for someone asking about the size of the SDCC exclusive Voltron.  This was it.

Whoo!

Always Watching

My buddy over at The Plastic Eyeball did a post recently displaying all his Alphabots.  During whatever conversation we had where they came up, I had expressed interest in them (because they're robots, if you've been keeping up).  Can't remember how long ago this was.  Anyway, he had ordered some for me from the glow-in-the-dark set allowing me to spell my name!

Further Gundam Nonsense

Had to go digging for these pics!  I had apparently planned to post these to the same site the previous Gundam pics were at, but I never did.  No idea why.

Anyway, these are all figures I obtained in my last trip to Anime Central (Acen, in what...2011?  Yeah, pretty sure that's it), an anime convention.  I make sure to bring a good chunk of cash to grab some much sought after figures and random robots.

High Five Puddy

Don't leave 'em hangin' man.

Gundam Nonsense

Now, some of you may be under the assumption that I've got a toy obsession.  This is true.  I have many toys.  Sometimes I swim in them like Scrooge McDuck and it causes me great pain, because there are many sharp items.

*ahem* Within that obsession, however, lies sub-obsessions.  One of those is Gundam toys, of which the majority are MSiA, or Mobile Suit in Action.  This is their story.  Names and dates have been changed to protect the identity of the toys.  Wait, no, the names and dates are fine, but I did add captions because toys are hilarious.

Toyless Interlude

I was going through my Photobucket (in my regular visits to see if they've fixed anything yet) and realized that I've got some really random junk pictures when taken out of context.  I thought you chaps might enjoy a good romp around the fine velvet rug of the sitting room that is my Photobucket.

Iron Man 2 Figures (Part 3)

And here's where the toyline started to wind down!  This was around June 2010 up to October.  Everything was getting hard to find, and some of them had to be found for me by friends.  I'm not sure why, but standard procedure states that you MUST over saturate the market with the first and second waves of figures for any movie line.  If you get any other waves, make sure you only stock them once or twice, then go back to stocking the first wave.  Then, when nobody wants those AT ALL, put out all the brand new stuff straight to clearance.

Iron Man 2 figures (Part 2)

Continuing on with our tour, you'll see more armor than you can shake a stick at...assuming you're walking around shaking sticks.  In which case I have to assume you're having a cool stick fight.  Can I join you?  I found this awesome curved one that looks like a katana!

Uuumm...What else...OH! How About Iron Man 2 Figures? (Part 1)

Photobucket got back to me and explained that they're trying to fix things, so yay!  They're also putting back some of the removed features that everyone didn't want removed.  Double yay!

In the meantime I'll continue posting some older junk: Here we have the first batch of toys I found when Iron Man 2 was coming out.  Whether or not you liked the movie, the accompanying toyline made for some great figures!

Thundercats 2011 (Needlessly separating this into Part 3)

I jumped into this line as the show started up and bought two of possibly the most useless figures in the line!  But hey, I liked the kids in the show, so I wanted representations.

Thundercats 2011 (Part DEUX)

I dunno you wana look at more toys?

Thundercats 2011 (Part 1)

So Photobucket still isn't working (or won't work?  I haven't figured out if they took out features for good or if they're working on them) and the site I used for the Sir Laser-Lot pics froze my screen twice and was a bitch to use (Imgur).  That means that I'ma go through MORE pics I posted at other sites and compile them all here!  This next batch is from the Thundercats toyline that just died (along with the cartoon).  They'll be in order of when I posted them (obviously back in 2011) blahblahblahblah.

They See Me Lasin' (Aug '12)

Aaaaand back to the MotUC figures!  Last time I believe we were on the convention exclusives for August 2012, so now we're back to the regular figures.  Well, sorta.  I've explained before that they were doing a 30th Anniversary subscription with special new figures for the MotUC line.  If I'm not mistaken, August didn't have a regular figure, but this still kinda counts.  So, as I've said: The 30th Anniversary consisted of six figures.  Three by inside Mattel folks (two designers, one being Draego-Man and one by the brand manager, which is the Mighty Spector up there), two contest winners (Fearless Photog from awhile back and one I'll go over eventually), and one figure from a big-name comic book writer.  That's this one: Sir Laser-Lot!

Photobucket and the "BUHWHAAA?"

Alright, so Photobucket decided to fix what ain't broke.  As a product of that change, I guess they don't automatically change bitmaps into jpegs anymore (they did so in such a way that I didn't lose much resolution - if I saved a pic as a jpeg on my computer it gets a little fuzzy).  I can't seem to navigate their help forums in any sane way, so I'm kinda stuck with these piles of pics I just took with no way to get them online without changing them all to jpegs myself (and then getting them all fuzzy).  If any of you folks have any ideas, let me know!  Until then I'm not sure how I'm getting my pics online at the moment.
