There were few pics for this one at the time, but make no mistake: this is one of the top figures in the line! He comes with everything he needs to be your custom version of awesome: the classic head and sword, a second head to mimic his totally different head from his vintage cardback (and sorta how the 200X one looked) along with a trident that was featured with his 200X figure. Any mix of parts is awesome.
In case you're wondering: that giant turtle is a Squishable. If you've got a loved one that likes stuffed animals...well anything from that site will explode said loved one's head with rainbow sprinkles and rays of sunshine. They're also easily stuffed into hilariously tiny boxes, which surprised the heck outa my wife.
Also his vintage sword looks like delicious corn. Who wouldn't want a weapon that doubles as food? Nobody I wana know!
Personally, I've always been a huge fan of how terrified the vintage Mer-Man face looked. It was like he was screaming at everything, all the time.
ReplyDeleteJust...just everything. And it's such a great contrast between the heads, too! The old head looks like he's scared shitless and screaming all the time, and the new head looks so friendly that you swear he's handing out hugs and getting his picture taken with kids at Disney World.
