Fortress of Mystery and Power - PART FOUR: Superfluous Supplementary

What, part four?!  Why??

To wrap up the "story", of course!  Perhaps there are a couple more things I didn't cover, as well?  I dunno man, I'm not paying attention.

Fortress of Mystery and Power - PART TWO: Outside the Castle Walls

Details, details!  In our next installment of the way-too-long review of MotUC Castle Grayskull, we take a look at the details of the outside of the castle.  Join me, won't you?

Tamashii Effect BURNING FLAME - Suddenly, Pictures!

W-where did all these pictures come from?!  All I did was sit down to open my new Tamashii Effect Burning Flame parts and - hours later - there's a ton of pictures!

Tomfoolery After Dark: Black Light Special Returns

Welcome back!  You may remember the last time we did this.  If not, click here to refresh your memory with Mer-Man's horror face.  Since that original post, I have been taking one toy each night and snapping some pics of it under the black light with my phone camera.  Some of them work, some of them don't.  For your viewing pleasure (I graciously assume), I have once again displayed the best of them.

Tomfoolery After Dark: Black Light Special

Darkness is my friend.  Not like the way darkness is Batman's friend, though.  He treats darkness like a psychiatrist.  He stalks through darkness; darkness shows him who he really is, etc.  Naw, me and darkness are buds who go way back.  Ever since my Grandma bought me Scare Glow and I ran into the closet to see him glow...we've been pals.

Point is: you can see everything in the light.  In the dark...you see only what you light up.

Give that Skeletor a Dragon. Skeletors Love Dragons (Sept. '12)

OH MAN.  I was super looking forward to this one through the whole toyline up to this point.  This was MY Skeletor, ya know?  My only Skeletor, growing up.

So naturally, this is the only figure where I have major complaints.  BAH.

In The Beginning, There Was....

Before time began...the 80's.  There wasn't anything before that, right?  Anyway: There was THIS.  Castle Grayskull!  Fortress of Mystery and Power!

...also a playset for your toys.  But man, what a playset!

They See Me Lasin' (Aug '12)

Aaaaand back to the MotUC figures!  Last time I believe we were on the convention exclusives for August 2012, so now we're back to the regular figures.  Well, sorta.  I've explained before that they were doing a 30th Anniversary subscription with special new figures for the MotUC line.  If I'm not mistaken, August didn't have a regular figure, but this still kinda counts.  So, as I've said: The 30th Anniversary consisted of six figures.  Three by inside Mattel folks (two designers, one being Draego-Man and one by the brand manager, which is the Mighty Spector up there), two contest winners (Fearless Photog from awhile back and one I'll go over eventually), and one figure from a big-name comic book writer.  That's this one: Sir Laser-Lot!

October 2011 Brought Flipshot - Then I Did Nothing

Yeah, it says Icarius on his card, but that's not his name.  It's Flipshot.  He's the first good guys from the New Adventures of He-Man in the MotUC line!  He was also the ONE other good guy that I had from that toyline, other than two versions of He-Man.

Spy Monkey and the Custom Weapons of Awesome

So there's a website called Spy Monkey Creations from which you should buy things.  The pics below were my first Spy Monkey custom items, but sadly they are out of print, so I can't really sell 'em the way I want to.

What Would they Say

There was a post on He-Man.org asking what your figures would say if they could talk.

Variety Packin' Your Face

More random stuff!

This first one was a response to a post at He-Man.org.  I think it had something to do with someone wanting more articulation in the MotUC line, and someone pointed out that the line has enough and it's not like MotUC figures need to pull off Spider-Man poses.  So I did this:

Mix and Match: After Optikk

What can you do with Optikk parts?  That was a question on my mind from the moment I saw his prototype.  The answer: MANY THINGS.

Scareglow is the Best Toy Ever Made (Nov. '09)

If it wasn't obvious, Scareglow was a figure near the end of the vintage line that was just a quick repaint with minimal new parts so they had a MotU presence at the stores without spending much.  A cheap repaint, I guess.
